April 19, 2005

St. Petersburg, FL – Gregory Rix, a lawyer with Brigham Moore, the state’s largest private property rights defense firm, has been named to the steering committee for Florida State University’s Real Estate Trends & Networking Conference, for a four-year term beginning this year. This year’s conference, the 11th annual event, takes place November 3-4, 2005 in Tallahassee. The conference is organized to inform participants of the emerging trends and critical issues facing the real estate industry. The conference sessions are designed to provide information on: investment and development hot spots; market trends; the real estate services industry; and institutional activities. Last year, approximately four hundred people attended the popular event. “I have attended this conference since its inception, and not only is it highly informative, with excellent keynote speakers and discussion, but a great networking opportunity with other real estate professionals and FSU alumni as well,” said Rix. “I am happy to work with the other steering committee members to ensure that the conference will continue to be a success.”

Gregory Rix has a bachelor's degree in Finance and Real Estate from Florida State University, an MBA from Stetson University, and is a graduate of Stetson University College of Law. Prior to becoming a lawyer, he was a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser focusing his practice on assignments involving eminent domain. He joined Brigham Moore in 2000 and practices in the firm's St. Petersburg office.
